Delivery is made by a company that is competent in furniture transport.
You can choose between two modes of delivery, the default delivery is the standard one. The Gold service is only available in France.
In case of special requirements we can sometimes quote for bespoke deliveries outside France, if possible.
Standard delivery :
The carrier will contact you by telephone to arrange an appointment from Monday to Friday. Delivery is being made with a driver / delivery person. On the agreed day, your item(s) will be delivered to your front door, near the truck, on a pallet.
Gold Service :
Only available in France (No furniture assembly for Corsica, Switzerland, BENELUX, United-Kingdom and Germany and help to carry the furniture inside your place may be needed for these destinations). The carrier contacts you by telephone to arrange an appointment. On the agreed day and time, from Monday to Friday, one or two delivery men unpack your articles to the desired floor and in the room of your choice.They assemble the furniture for you. If you wish, they can even remove the packaging (not available in UK nor Switzerland). In the case of a delivery beyond the third floor without elevator, it is imperative to specify it, additional 40€ will be asked.
Parisian delivery :
Deliveries in the Parisian region (Ile de France) are made by our own team once a week (Thursday or Friday). We contact you prior to arrange an appointment and the delivery is Gold Service. The delivery cost is 95€ whatever your order. In the case of a delivery beyond the third floor without elevator, it is imperative to specify it, additional 40€ will be asked.
Namely :
Deliveries outside the European continent are made with DHL airfreight. The time of delivery is usually short, around 10 working days after payment.
Deliveries are made on incoterm DAP (delivered at place), customs clearance being at your charge. Once cleared, an appointment is taken to deliver the parcel at your address.
Very important :
Whichever the delivery mode, it is your responsibility to check that all means of access (doors, staircases and lifts) are large enough to allow passage of the parcel(s)
Shipments should be inspected before signing freight bill. Even if the parcel is in perfect condition.
Do not be intimidated by the carrier. Do not sign and refuse delivery if he doesn't let you check.
Accepting by signing the receipt, discharges the carrier from liability. After, no appeal is possible to the carrier or Starbay.
For a few days we recommend that you keep the original packaging and the pallet in case the furniture needs to be returned.
Returns are only allowed in the original protective packaging that was specifically designed for Starbay furniture.
Other solution :
You have your own transport and once payment has been made, you may collect the items from our warehouse in Paris. You can contact us by phone or email to arrange the collection.
